This privacy policy (“PP”) applies to the personal data collected online via www.mycitypolice.com, www.getmcp.com and its affiliates, or via the MCP Mobile Apps, owned and operated by MyCityPolice OÜ (collectively “MCP”, “we,” “our,” or “us”). This PP discloses the privacy practices for MCP.
MCP is committed to adhering to federal, state and local privacy laws and industry guidelines to protect you and your privacy. The PP purpose is to support you in understanding how we gather, use and protect information you provide to us via our web sites (each, and collectively, “Web site(s)”) and our mobile applications (each, and collectively, “App(s)”), (each and collectively, “MCP service(s)”). It also shall support you in making informed decisions when using these services. The PP also informs about our use of your personal information and the available options to you concerning the usage, and how you can access and update this information.
By using the Web sites, the Apps and MCP services you accept the terms and conditions of this PP and that the PP is part of our Terms of Use (as defined below) and you agree to be bound by both the PP and the Terms of Use. If you are not willing to accept the terms and conditions of this PP and the Terms of Use, we ask you to not use any MCP web site, app or service. When you submit information via MCP services, you consent the collection, use and disclosure of your information in accordance with the PP.
MCP reserves the right to occasionally update this PP. In such case, we will revise the “last updated” date of the PP, stated at the end of the PP. For material changes to this PP, MCP will notify you by placing notice on the MCP customer account access web site. We recommend that you periodically review this PP.
1. INFORMATION MCP COLLECTS FROM YOU
A. General Browsing
We process navigational information about how you came to and where you go on our Websites. This information allows us to see which areas of our Websites are most visited and helps us to improve the quality of your online experience by recognizing and delivering more of the most desired features and services. Additional information, for example, domain type, browser version, or service provider may also be processed by us, which will provide us with information regarding the general use of our Websites. We process this information because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and improving our Websites.
B. Location Information
Our Websites and Apps provide localization depending features, such as the language pre-selector, or your location for filing a report, providing your navigation or aid. The features on our Websites and Apps that require information about your location may make use of the GPS information on your mobile device. We also use other information, such as your IP address or nearby wireless access points or cell phone tower locations, or your browser or system language, to roughly estimate where you are or what language you would prefer, to provide you the feature on our Websites or Apps that requires understanding where you are located or what language you would use to understand our website and services. If you complete a general "Contact Us" form (for example, to comment on or ask questions about our products), or contact us in a likewise approach, we may process your name, telephone number, email address, country, related orders and any information that you provide in the text of your message or that are stored in your account and related queries.
If you use the Support Chat feature on one of our Websites, we may process any personal data, and any other information that you provide throughout the communication and that we possibly can relate to you or an product your query refers to.
If you contact us or any of our affiliates in order to request support for placing an order or request a service or to get connected to MCP, we collect and process your data as described in the Get Connected and Services via our Websites section.

Subscribe for Marketing Email List
If you sign up for one of our marketing email list (i.e., 'Subscribe'), or a marketing email list for MCP or any of our affiliate brands, you will be asked to provide your name, email address, country and your consent to the processing of your personal data in order to send you marketing emails, emergency or informational emails, and product view emails (emails that are triggered if you search and/or view a specific type of product on our Website and leave before requesting a affiliation/connecting). Signing up for our mailing list enables you to receive information about products and/or services that we provide via email. If you would like to unsubscribe, then please visit the "Opt-Out" section of this Privacy Notice or follow the opt-out instructions on any marketing email you receive from us or that affiliate.
Order Notification Messages
While requesting to get connected to MCP or downloading any information or the MCP APP you have the option to add a notification to us and your own notes to your order, such as your internal reference numbers or other information. We process personal data for this purpose because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in providing this service to our customers.
Get Connected and Services Via our Websites
If you get connected to MCP or you purchase services via our Websites, we will process your personal data for this purpose (i.e., name, billing and shipping address information, email address(es), telephone number(s), and payment card information), as well as information about your service and/or product query (purchase) on our Websites. Further, we may store and process your order and data assignment to a sales agent, area and/or campaign. In addition, you will be able to view your order details when you log into your MCP account. We process personal data for these purposes because it is necessary to perform a contract with you and for our legitimate interest in managing and operating our business. Also, we are obliged to store and process your information for invoicing issues.
In addition, if you choose to may use a separate payment service provider (e.g. Credit Card payment, financing or funding service) for your payment option at checkout, if the option is available, the separate payment service provider may become a data controller in relation to personal data it collects from our checkout page to determine whether it will allow you to use it as a payment method. How the separate payment service provider uses and shares the personal data it collects is controlled by its own privacy policy.
Market Research
When you fill out a survey or otherwise engage in market research offered on our Websites, Apps or in emails, we collect the information. This information will assist us in gathering feedback from you in order to improve our Websites and continue to offer features and products that you prefer. We process personal data for these purposes because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in improving our Websites and the products and services offered to our customers.
Information Collected through our Support (via Telephone, Chat, Message or Email)
We may collect personal data from you when you contact us, i.e. via telephone. This will include any information that you may provide us (i.e. over the telephone) about yourself or the issue you are contacting us about. We will use this personal data solely for the purpose of providing the relevant customer support services to you. In order to provide you the service to help you in any way necessary and/or requested, we might request the personal data that are necessary provide you help and/or to process your query or purchase and thus opening an account as described in the section Getting Connected and Services via our Websites section. We process personal data for these purposes because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in providing support to our customers.
Additional Purposes for which we process Personal Data
We may also process personal data that we collect under this notice for the following purposes to the extent permitted by law:
- To detect, and protect us, our affiliates and other third parties against misuse of our Websites and/or Apps (such as spamming), negligence, fraud, theft and other illegal activities. We process personal data for these purposes when it is necessary to protect, exercise or defend our legal rights.
- To audit compliance with our and their internal policies and to terminate or suspend your accessing or use of our Websites and/or Apps for engaging in any misuse of our Websites and/or Apps or other illegal activities. We process personal data for these purposes when it is necessary to protect, exercise or defend our legal rights.
- To conduct appropriate anti-fraud checks in which the personal data that you provide may be disclosed to a credit reference or fraud prevention agency, which may keep a record of that information. We process personal data for these purposes when it is necessary to protect, exercise or defend our legal rights.
- To comply with administrative, tax, investigative or other audit requirements or any other legal or regulatory disclosure requirements. We process personal data for these purposes because we are required to do so by law.
- As permitted by applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and to comply with any legal or regulatory requirements.
- To retrieve an acid test ratio for providing credit line services and/or financing services and/or other funding aid services.
- The personal data you provide when submitting your curriculum vitae in the 'Careers' section of our Websites is used only for the purposes of consideration for employment and is not used for promotional purposes by us or our affiliated companies, nor is such information sold or provided to third parties. We process personal data for these purposes because we have a legitimate interest in recruiting job applicants.
D. User Registration and User Account Information
As part of the registration process, you will be asked to provide information including your e-mail address, your name, birthday, country and contact phone numbers. To finish the registration and for any new log-in from a fully closed app, you need confirm your identity via a code, send to you as text message to your provided mobile phone number. Our messaging partner might collect data transfer information from you. The MCP services may include functionalities that permits you to provide profile information that may be accessible by recipients that you assign to (law enforcement services). This profile information may include, but is not limited to: name, phone number, email, personal media material (photos, videos or alike, on request), localization, selected report data and other information that may be of assistance to people responding to incidents you report through MCP. You may also be able to submit free text notes which includes other information that does not specifically fall within categories offered by the MCP features. When you create a MCP account you will receive a welcome email that will be delivered to the email address you stated in the email field during the registration process. We process personal data for these purposes because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in providing MCP services to our customers. To have your MCP account cancelled send an email request to privacy@mycitypolice.com from the email address of the MCP account you wish to cancel or contact our customer support.
When you share any information via MCP to social media, those companies and services may collect data from your according to their Privacy Policy.
When you create your personal vault of information for MCP, you will be asked for both personal and demographic information, some of which is required to be able complete the registration. You will be informed which of the information are optional.
E. Incident and Report Information
Whenever you use MCP services to transmit any information (including text, other data, video or audio), MCP will collect such information and may ask for permission to access data on your mobile or stationary device. Any video or audio information can only be transmitted on request of the connected law enforcement partner that your report was send to. A recording or streaming of video and audio is indicated according to your mobile device user interface design, features and settings. You transmitted data will be collected by the connected law enforcement partner your report got transmitted to. This partner may process your data in a third-party data system to be able to coordinate to provide you help. Transmitted data may also be used anonymized for public surveys, statistics or interactive maps. In such cases your private and identifying data will in any way be protected.
F. Geo-Location Information
If not you disable the geo-location functionality of the app or your mobile device, MCP will track your location (when MCP app is activated) and associate/store such location with any messages, data or incidents that you transmit through MCP services. MCP will also utilize your geo-location to determine whether you are with the geographical zone of one or more third party emergency responders that have signed up with MCP to receive incident data in their location in order to provide you help.
G. Passive Information Gathering
When navigating through a feature of MCP services, certain information can be passively collected (that is, gathered without you actively providing the information) using various technologies, such as navigational data collection. That might include the tracking of Internet Protocol addresses, use session and persistent cookies, use session IDs and assign Internet tags by us of our service provider partners. Our system may also automatically gather information about the areas you visit on MCP online services and collect operational information about the technology you use, such as your browser, operating systems, type of device, IP address, system and application software, peripherals, Internet service providers and the domain name of the web site from which you got linked to MCP. In addition, we may store some information on your computer or mobile device, in the form of a cookie, flash cookie or similar file. That is done to support the efficiency and work of MCP and affiliated partners. We reserve the right to use, and to permit our service providers to use such cookies, flash cookies and web beacons, as well as other comparable or future technologies, to collect information regarding usage of MCP services or our apps (including the use of our applications on third party sites). We passively collect information to learn what segments of MCP are most demanded, which segments may need improvement and which technologies are being used by our users and visitors. We also use this information for security purposes, to detect and to block security breaches and to provide you with a safe online environment.
2. HOW MCP MAY USE AND DISCLOSE INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE
A. Data Accepting Counterpart
During the registration process, via the use of account management features or when you change your location from one law enforcement territory to another, you will be asked to identify a data accepting counterpart (recipient) for any incident report you chose to report via MCP. Accordingly, when you utilize the MCP services to report an incident, you acknowledge and agree that all content in the incident report will be made available to and accessible to MCP and the foregoing recipients and you have no expectation of privacy in connection therewith. MCP is not responsible for whether or how such third parties utilize the content and data you send to them.
B. Law Enforcement Responders and NGOs
Law enforcement responders (e.g. Police, etc.) may subscribe to MCP. You may browse a list of then current connected law enforcement responders at any time via the MCP apps. When you are within the assigned geographic area of such an emergency responder, such third party will receive any incidents your report through the MCP services as well as any applicable profile information you have provided. Respectively, when you use the MCP apps to report an incident, you acknowledge and agree that all content in the incident report and related profile information will be made available to and accessible by MCP and the applicable emergency responders, and you have no expectation of privacy in connection therewith. MCP is not responsible for whether or how such third parties utilize the content and data you send to them.
C. MCP Use
Your contact information (e.g., e-mail addresses, phone number) will be used for the purposes for which you supplied it to us (e.g., responding to your reports or requests for information, sending requested newsletters, etc.). Your phone number will only be used to process the security login between you and MCP and the mobile service provider.
Except as otherwise stated, we may use information collected internally to operate the described MCP services, to improve MCP service and apps, to customize MCP services to your preferences, to communicate information to you, for research purposes and for any other purpose specified in this policy. In addition, we may make full use of all information acquired through MCP services that is not in personally identifiable form.
D. Social Media
In case you use the option to register or login to MCP through a Social Networking Service, we will ask you for your permission to access your data on the Social Networking Service to create an account and Profile at MCP. In addition, we may use this data for several purposes, including:
Account and profile fields - When you access MCP through a Social Networking Service, we will pre-fill and update your account and profile fields with data from the Social Networking Service that you gave us permission to access. Via your account and you can update this information at any time.
Profile personalizing: When you access MCP through a Social Networking Service, we may personalize the MCP services experience by showing your name (first name and last name) and profile picture or avatar (optional) on your public profile page, next to your reports and sharing posts, or on other areas of the site where your content is displayed. We may additionally use information from your social media profile or your social media activities on MCP services to personalize content for you and offer features and opportunities tailored to your interests.
Aggregate Reporting: When you access MCP through a Social Networking Service, we may use data from the Social Networking Service that you give us to access to, to learn more about the demographic information of our users.
You may disconnect from a linked Social Networking Service at any time by visiting your MCP account in the MCP app.
No information about you that we collected on MCP with a linked Social Networking Service will be shared without your approval. MCP will not post anything to your Google account, Facebook wall, or Twitter feed unless you give us specific allowance to do so. MCP will not of own accord contact your friends or followers at any time, but provide the option that you can initiate such process at any time (e.g. “invite a friend”). We do not store or utilize the names of your friends or followers even if they are passed to us by a social sign-on service in the initial registration process.
Social Networking Services provide varying levels of control over the extent to which content or information you submit to the Services is also made public and shared on linked Social Networking Services. When you use a Social Networking Service to log into the Services:
You share your information with it and its privacy policy applies to the Social Networking Service's collection, use, and disclosure of such information.
In addition, the Social Networking Service may be able to collect information about you, including your activity on the Services, and it may notify your connections on the Social Networking Service about your use of the Services.
Such services may also employ unique identifiers which allow your activity to be monitored across multiple websites for purposes of delivering targeted advertising to you.
Please note that the privacy policies and terms of use of linked Social Networking Services may be different from our own and we encourage you to read them. We also encourage you to familiarize yourself with the privacy controls and account settings on linked Social Networking Services for information on how to customize your privacy settings with respect to content or information submitted to the Services.
E. Direct Marketing
We may from time to time process your personal data to send you marketing emails about our products and/or services. In this case your prior consent is required. These emails may contain features that help us make sure you received and were able to open the message. Furthermore, these emails may contain features to identify you when you click through a marketing email to visit our Website, which enable us to send you cart abandonment emails, and/or product view emails.
We may share some of your personal data with our affiliate brands to send you personalized marketing emails.
You may opt out of receiving marketing emails, cart abandonment emails, and/or product view emails at any time, free of charge, by following the instructions in any marketing communication. Furthermore, you may select the frequency at which you receive marketing emails or unsubscribe if you no longer wish to receive marketing emails, cart abandonment emails, and/or product view emails by visiting your MCP account.
We may also process your personal data to send you postal mail about our products and services. In this case your prior consent is required. You may opt out of receiving marketing mail at any time, free of charge by contacting privacy@mycitypolice.com to opt out.
F. Further MCP disclosures
In addition to the disclosure of your information to recipients and responders as described in clauses 2.A and 2.B, we may disclose any of the information you provide:
a. to affiliated partners and contractors we use to support our business (such as hosting providers, technical support, web analytics and financial institutions), in which case we will require such third parties to agree to use it for the same purposes;
b. in the event of a sale, merger, liquidation, dissolution, reorganization, assignment or other transfer of MCP or the business of MCP service (also in parts) to which the information relates, in which case we will require any such buyer to agree to treat it in accordance with this Privacy Policy and use it for the same purposes;
c. to respond to law enforcement requests and subpoenas, where we believe in good faith that such response is required by applicable laws, court orders, or government regulations;
d. in case of sustainable assumption of misusage of MCP services, especially by request of law enforcement authorities and
e. in situations involving threats to the physical safety of any person.
MCP will have no liability for disclosure of information obtained due to errors in transmission or the unauthorized intervention of third parties.
G. Usage Statistics, Aggregated Information and Anonymized Information:
MCP may anonymize and aggregate your personal information (including, without limitation, usage statistics and geo-location information) with information from other users of MCP services. MCP may use or disclose such aggregated information for purposes of improving, operating, promoting, modifying or otherwise commercializing MCP or the aggregate data, but on no account shall such aggregated information include any personally identifying information.
H. Information shared with or collected directly by Third Parties
a. Email Addresses
We do not sell, or grant rights to third parties to process your email address for their own marketing purposes, unless it’s necessary to fulfill our services to you (i.e. to provide extended payment terms for cooperation or resale partners).
Please note that, if you request to be removed from our email marketing list, then you may still receive email confirmations from us regarding any orders that you have placed on our Websites. If you would like to unsubscribe, then please visit the "Opt-Out" section of this Privacy Notice.
b. Postal Addresses
We do not sell or grant rights to third parties to process your postal address for their own marketing purposes, unless it’s necessary to fulfill our services to you (i.e. to provide extended payment terms for cooperation or resale partners).
c. Service Providers
Please be aware that we may appoint third parties to provide services to us or on our behalf, such as fulfilling services (including, but not limited to, processing payments, providing fraud prevention services, and verifying addresses), monitoring and analyzing site activity and the effectiveness of our advertising, providing support services, conducting credit reference checks, providing tax and accounting services and auditing, provide extended payment terms (i.e. credit insurance and/or financing service and/or funding aid services), serving site content (including a site search feature), organizing information, conducting surveys, administering and sending mobile notifications and email messages, offering interactive features on our Apps, assisting us with our Social Media Pages, and administering sweepstakes or contests. Such third parties may have access to your personal data to provide services to MCP.
d. Legal Disclosures
You should also be aware that we may disclose personal data about you if we are required, or we genuinely believe that (i) we are required, to do so by law or legal process, (ii) if we reasonably consider that it is necessary to protect the users of our Websites, or (iii) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual fraudulent or other illegal activity. In the event that we, or our parent company, is acquired by a new owner, or if following a reorganization of our corporate group we become part of one of our affiliates, your information may be transferred to a new owner, or another of our affiliates, as part of our assets. If this occurs, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that our new owner or the affiliate which we become part of will use your personal data only in accordance with the terms of this privacy notice.
e. Sharing Information within our Company Group
We may disclose the personal data that you provide to us (including, without limitation, your personal data) to any member of our company group, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company, and the subsidiaries of our holding company (including our affiliated companies). MCP and its partner and affiliated companies will not subscribe you to their ongoing marketing email and/or text message programs unless you have separately consented to receive such marketing communications from a given affiliated company.
f. Transferring Data Outside the EEA
In case of c, d and e above, a transfer of your personal data may take place to countries outside the European Economic Area, such as the United States, whose laws may not afford the same level of protection to your personal data. We will therefore ensure - where necessary - that all adequate safeguards are in place and that all applicable laws and regulations are complied with in connection with such transfer. You may request a copy of the safeguards that we have put in place in respect of transfers of personal data by contacting us as described in the Questions About Privacy section below.
3. OPTIONS YOU HAVE ABOUT INFORMATION USAGE BY MCP
We seek to provide you with options regarding the personal information you provide to us. You may modify the personal information on your account at any time. However, you are obliged to state veridical and accurate personal data, as the MCP app may connect you to law enforcement authorities. Modifications or deletions will only affect reports after the date modification; any data connected with earlier filed reports will remain unmodified as previously provided to your recipients and stored in our servers. You can as well manage which recipients will receive your incident reports and what further profile data you elect to include and make accessible, in addition to your basic data (name, email address, mobile phone number, birthday).
4. HOW MCP PROTECTS YOUR INFORMATION
We work hard to protect your data and information. Both procedural and technical methods are used to maintain the integrity as security of our databases. That includes encryption and limited access to data. Buy you should keep in mind that no internet transmission is ever completely secure or faultless. The safety and security of your data and information as well depends on you. Do never share passwords with anyone else, notify us immediately if you have suspicion of your password security has been breached and remember to log off before you leave your computer or you give away or leave your mobile device.
Storage of Information
The time period for which we keep personal data depends on the purpose for which we collected it. In all cases we keep it for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collected it. We will then delete the personal data, unless we are legally required to retain it or if we need to retain it in order to comply with our legal obligations (for example, for tax and accounting purposes, or law enforcement requirements).
5. YOUR RIGHTS
Subject to applicable law, you may (1) request access to the personal information we maintain about you; (2) request that we update, correct, amend, or erase your information; or (3) request the restriction of our use of your personal information. In addition, you may receive, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, the personal information that you have provided to us about you, with your consent or based on a contract to which you are party. You have the right to have this information transmitted to another company, where it is technically feasible.
You also may object at any time to the use of your personal information, on grounds relating to your particular situation, where we use that information based on our legitimate interests as described above. If we use your personal information to send you marketing communications, you may object at any time and without providing any reasons to such a use (e.g., by clicking in the unsubscribe link in our marketing emails), and we will apply your preferences going forward. You also may withdraw any consent you previously provided to us. If you do so, this will not affect the lawfulness of our use of your information based on your consent before its withdrawal.

In order to ensure that your personal data is accurate and up to date just log on to your account with your email address and password, and you'll see an overview page where you can update your information. You may also write to us if you think that personal data that we hold about you needs to be updated.
6. USERS AGE REQUIREMENT
We support the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The MCP service is not intended for children under the age of 13. Children under the age of 13 are prohibited to use MCP services with an own account. We will not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from visitors under the age of 13. If a child has provided us with personally identifiable information, a parent or guardian of that child may contact us via e-mail at privacy@mycitypolice.com if they would like this information deleted from our records. We will use reasonable efforts to delete the child’s information from our databases.
7. COOKIES & ADVERTISING
A. What Are Cookies and How Do We Use Them?
We use a browser feature known as a "cookie", which assigns a unique identification to your computer. Cookies are typically stored on your computer's hard drive or mobile device. Information collected from cookies is used by us to evaluate the effectiveness of our Websites, analyze trends, and administer our Websites. The information collected from cookies allows us to determine such things as which parts of our Websites are most visited and difficulties you may experience in accessing our Websites. With this knowledge, we can improve the quality of your experience on our Websites by recognizing and delivering more of the most desired features and information, understanding which features are accessed or completed, as well as by resolving access difficulties. B. Website Analysis
We use third party service provider(s) to assist us in better understanding the use of our Websites. Our service provider(s) will place cookies on the hard drive of your computer and will receive information that we select that will educate us on such things as how you navigate around our Websites, what features are accessed, completed, or most used, what products are browsed and general purchasing information. Information may also be collected about a search engine used, and a search engine or website advertisement clicked to direct you to our Websites. Our service provider(s) analyses this information and provides us with aggregate reports. The information and analysis provided by our service provider(s) will be used to assist us in better understanding your interests in our Websites and how to better serve those interests. The information collected by our service provider(s) may be linked to and combined with information that we collect about you while you are visiting our Websites. C. How Do Others Use Cookies on Our Websites to Serve You Advertising?
We contract with third party advertising companies, which on our authority present adds on our Websites. These third parties also collect non-personally identifying information about you by placing cookies on your browser and/or using Pixel Tags when you visit our site. These advertising companies may use and share information gathered about your visit to our Websites to deliver our ads on other websites that are a part of their online advertising networks and/or search engines. We receive aggregate information from these third parties to gauge our advertising effectiveness. To stop receiving cookie-based ads from a third party advertising company we use, click on the link included in the advertisement and follow the instructions on opting out. We may use more than one third party company for this cookie-based advertising, which would require you to opt out of each company through each of the various advertisement links separately.

C. Email Addresses
If you do not wish to receive emails from MCP, then please uncheck the related option box in your Account. If you do not wish to receive marketing emails, abandonment emails and/or product view emails, from any of our relevant affiliate brands, then please follow the opt-out instructions on any marketing email you receive from that affiliate.
Please note that, if you request to be removed from our email marketing list, then you may still receive non-marketing emails, such as confirmations from us regarding any orders that you have placed on our Websites.
D. Postal Addresses
